The imperial cities of Morocco: a great classic in the Shereefian kingdom. We did nothing revolutionary; we combined Fez, Rabat, Casablanca, and Marrakech. 4 cities, 4 stories, 4 atmospheres. We have nevertheless selected 4 luxury and charming addresses to guarantee you make this Moroccan journey in the best conditions of comfort. Here is the ideal formula allowing the discovery of the cities that knew how to preserve the heritage of imperial Morocco in one week. Every day a different stage or almost the time to soak up the atmosphere and the particularity of each of these cities. For the night, we have selected the best in terms of comfort and location. Sometimes contemporary, sometimes Moroccan Art Deco or even bucolic, each home is different, but all have character, and we particularly liked them. We have added a car rental for the duration of the stay, but you have the possibility of opting for a vehicle with a driver (with supplement).

In Marrakech, Fez, and Casablanca, you can even hire the services of a guide. This circuit is built as well as possible to make you discover the essentials in one week. Nevertheless, you can ask us to shape it to your liking: add a night in Casablanca or another in Marrakech or more. The entire route takes place on excellent asphalt roads. There is no need to rent a 4X4; you will have very few opportunities to use it in off-road conditions. From April to October, take an air-conditioned vehicle. Not useful the rest of the year.

Your trip to Morocco in detail:

Day 1 : Casablanca

Reception at Casablanca airport, and transfer to your hotel. The economic capital of Morocco awaits you. Recommended city tour: the great United Nations esplanade, surrounded by the courthouse, the prefecture, and the residential district of Anfa. And take the time to visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque (see possible excluding public holidays and Fridays).
And you will also make a detour by avenue Mohamed V to admire the "art deco" facades.

Marrakech can also do the arrival with a supplement for the transfer Marrakech - Casablanca. 2 hours by highway.

Day2 : Casablanca – Meknes. 210 km approx. 3h

Early in the morning, delivery of your vehicle, you leave for Rabat, the administrative capital, to visit the medina and, in particular, the old Jewish quarter. We also recommend visiting the Hassan Tower and the Mohammed V mausoleum, built in homage to the king who died in 1961, and the Mechouar mosque. Dinner and overnight in Rabat.
Continuation to Meknes and its famous gates of Bab el Mansour and Bab El Khamis, its granaries, its stables of MoulayIsmaïl, and its SahrijSwani basin, cousin of that of the Menara in Marrakech. Dinner and overnight in Rabat

Day 3 : Casablanca - Meknes. 210 km approx. 3h

Continuation to Meknes and its famous gates of Bab el Mansour and Bab el Khamis, its granaries, its stables of MoulayIsmaïl, and its SahrijSwani basin, cousin of that of
Mènera in Marrakech
After the visit of Meknes, direction to the nearby Roman site of Volubilis. Arrival at the end of the afternoon in Fez.
Installation in a riad and the first discovery of the medina are undoubtedly the most beautiful in the Arab world. Night at Fes.

Day 4 : Fez

A day was dedicated to Fez, the oldest of the imperial cities, which was the cultural and religious center of the Muslim West for centuries. Discover the mostbeautifulmedina in the Arab world:
• The Bou Inania medersa
• The Néjarine square with its magnificent fountain decorated with mosaics
• The many souks
Visit the Batha folk art museum, the Royal Palace, then the Marinid tombs from which you have a bird's eye view of the city and its ramparts.
Overnight in Fez.

Day 5 :Fez - Azrou - Bin Louidane Lake 330 km approx. 5h

Departure for the Ouzoud waterfalls via Ifrane, a ski resort located in the middle of a vast clearing and continuation to Azrou, a summer resort known for its artisanal cooperative. Crossing of the Middle Atlas. Arrive in the afternoon in Ouzoud early enough to go for a walk to the most famous waterfalls of the Atlas. You may be lucky enough to spot magot monkeys in the cedar forests.

Day 6: Ouzoud - Marrakech. 150 km approx. 2h

You will have time to relax and enjoy the exceptional surroundings of your hotel. There is the possibility of discovering the Bin Louidane gorges by boat before heading back to Marrakech. The Jemaa el Fna square, the city's living heart, awaits you unless you prefer to enjoy the calm of your charming Riad.

Day 7 : Marrakech

Day dedicated to Marrakech, a former imperial city. You will be able to discover the majestic silhouette of the Koutoubia, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace, the seat of the Grand Vizier Ba Ahmed dating from the end of the 19th century, and the Dar Si-
Said museum, the former house of the Vizier's brother, transformed into a Museum of Fine Arts.
Do not miss the dyers' souk, that of leather through that of spices.
